Task: To think about what certain large-scale protected areas have in common (e.g. natural phenomena, problems), and matching the similarities when we find them.
Variants: We can make the activity easier by telling pupils some of the similarities and pupils only have to write the LSPAs where they can be found. We could name 2 (or 3) LSPAs and the pupils’ task is to discover what similarities they have (what they have in common). The easiest way is to give the students the similarities and names of the LSPAs (viz. Printable materials).
Timing: About 10 minutes, plus checking time.
Materials: Printable materials – cut up into strips.
