Analysis of Czech public administration in the "neighborhood" of the Czech pension system: family policy, health care, long-term care, housing, unemployment and social support; their links with the pension system
Praha: RILSA, 2017. 76 pp. – ISBN 978-80-7416-248-0
The initial aim of the project is to provide a description of all the major (insurance and non-insurance) social systems operating in the Czech Republic as well as a description of the various social situations that are covered by individual social systems. The second and equally important goal consists of the related identification and description of the influence of direct and indirect links between the various social systems and the pension system. The third objective consists of the identification of suitable data to be employed in the quantification of the links thus identified.
The project provides an overview of the links between the pension system and the following social systems: the housing allowance, the material needs assistance allowance, health insurance, family policy and state social support, state employment policy, education policy, the health system and the long-term care and social services systems.
The outcome of the project takes the form of a structured description of the direct and indirect linkages between the various social systems and the pension system, which will serve primarily as a proposal for a research hypothesis on the existence and nature of these links for the purposes of further research. The mutual interconnection of the afore-mentioned social systems, in the nature of things, is the logical consequence primarily of the fact that these systems operate essentially with the same set of participants as employed according to specific life situations. The research determined that a number of links between the systems are clear at first sight, whilst others can be revealed only following the in-depth analysis of the detailed rules which regulate both the structure of and claims paid out under the various systems.
